  • Diner-style style coffee and breakfast. Great service and atmosphere. We arrived at Shinjuku for the first time and were looking for coffee. At first we looked for the highest average scores. As we walked around enjoying the cool air and tranquility, we spotted Komeda’s Coffee and popped in. We were greeted warmly and sat down to eat. We got the traditional K’s coffee (strong roasted notes), Jellico iced drink, azuki with butter toast, and Kuro Neige cocoa layer/pound cake w/ Ice cream. We liked the meal and would recommend it for a quick bite or to sit and chat.

  • If you’re a group of 3 and above prepare for a long wait. Take a number from the machine and wait for a staff to call your number. As they had very limited seating for groups bigger than 2 we had to wait for an hour and a half to be seated. Coffee was decent and the pastry was pleasantly surprising. We were seated outside the main hall but still within the office building however the heaters did not seem to be working well so we had to keep our jackets on.

  • Very cute cafe, with good selections of breakfast and drinks. Big portion. Delicious too.

  • Very good and kind staff with a pretty vast sandwhich and dessert menu. The coffee was very good as well. I recommend it.

  • Breakfast chain with a great location, plenty of comfortable seating for several party sizes. We had the honey coffee which was delicious, and the curry cheese toast. It could have been that the quality was not the same for the food as we chose takeout, but overall the cheese and curry didn’t mix well. Would definitely come here again and try other things!

  • Some tourists were confused but there’s a call button on table for ordering at the table. Hopped in for a quick coffee before the Mt Fuji tour bus take-off. Tried the single origin iced coffee and my friend got the milk medium roast, came with small packet of snacks. Good enough but pricey compared to even Starbucks. The service was good, I guess we pay for seat and service so all good.

  • This Komeda is a cute standalone shop located on the first floor of Shinjuku First West. I was introduced to Komeda and their morning service back in Nagoya in 2018. When you order a drink, you get complimentary toast and jam. The chain's signature item is Shiro Noir (a flakey croissant pastry with a serving of vanilla soft serve on top). Simple yet mind-blowingly delicious.
